CEVICHE

ONE OF THE 5 MOST TYPILCAL FOOD FROM PERU BEST KNOWN AROUND THE WORLD

INGREDIENTS:

1 Kilo of Whitefish
1 Piece of Garlic
2 pieces of  Peppers without seeds, cut into strips
1 Cup of  Lemon Juice
1 Orion large onion, cut lengthwise

PREPARATION:

Wash the fish and cut into squares.Season with lemon juice, garlic, ground pepper, salt and pepper. Allow resting for an hour.Add the onion, pepper, celery and cilantro. Allow resting another hour

Ground pepper to taste.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Chopped celery to taste.
Chopped cilantro to taste.

Serve with lettuce and corn.

CEVICHE

CONOCIDO ALREDEDOR DEL MUNDO COMO UNO DE LOS 5 PLATOS MAS TIPICOS DEL PERU

INGREDIENTES:

1 Kilo de. Pescado blanco
1 diente(s) Ajo Molido
2 unids. Ají es sin pepas cortados en tiritas
1 taza(s) Jugo de Limón
1 unidad de Cebolla grande cortada a lo largo

PREPARACIÓN:

Lavar el pescado y cortarlos en cuadrados.
Sazonar con el jugo de limón, el ajo, el aji molido, la sal y la Pimienta. Dejar reposando durante una hora.
Añadir la cebolla, el aji, el Apio y el Culantro. Dejar una hora mas.

Ají molido al gusto.
Sal y pimienta al gusto.
Apio picado al gusto.
Culantro picado al gusto.

Servir acompañado de Lechuga y choclos.

MACHU PICCHU or THE LOST CITY OF THE INCAS

MACHU PICCHU: Its story in few words.

• It was built around 1450.
• Discovered by the explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911.
• Located in the City of Cusco - Peru.
• Cusco was the capital of the Inca Empire, Machu Picchu was the main city.
• Divided into 3 main areas: - The Sacred Town - The Popular Town and the District of the Priests and the Nobility.
• It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983.
• Was named one of the Seven Wonders of the World in 2007 (after a global vote via the Internet.

About 1914, Hiram Bingham who discovered Machu Picchu. after digging and finding ceramic vessels, silver statues, jewelry and body bones, took them to Yale University in the United States to be studied for a period of 18 months but unfortunately passed about 1 century and Yale still has these valuable items.  

Multiple requests have been sent by the Peruvian government to the United States governement for the return  of these objects that belong to us because the University must realize that there were not a gift but a  loan for study7

These days (2010) our Government is starting a trial for devolution of each piece, which could take about 2 or more years ...

I hope that before our Bicentennial we receive what belongs to us as it is part of our identity and history.

MACHU PICCHU o LA CIUDAD PERDIDA DE LOS INCAS

MACHU PICCHU: Su historia en pocas palabras (ya que por más palabras que diga no podría describirlo).

• Fue construído alrededor de 1450.
• Descubierto por el expedicionario norteamericano Hiram Bingham en  1911.
• Localizado en el Departamento de Cusco - Perú.
• Cusco fue la Capital del Imperio Incaico y Machu Picchu fue su ciudad principal. 
• Dividida en 3 grandes sectores: - El Barrio Sagrado, - El Barrio Popular y el Barrio de los Sacerdotes y la Nobleza.
• Fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1983.
• Fue declarada una de las Siete Maravillas del Mundo en el 2007(luego de una votación mundial vía Internet.

Alrededor de 1914 su descubridor Hiram Bingham luego de excavar y encontrar, vasijas ceramicas, estatuas de plata, joyas y huesos oseos, se los  llevó a la Universidad de Yale en Estados Unidos, para ser estudiados por un periódo de 18 meses pero lamentablemente ha pasado cerca de 1 siglo y aún Yale tiene estos objetos tan valiosos..

Se han enviado múltiples pedidos del gobierno Peruano al Estado Unidense para la devolución de estos objetos que nos pertenecen, ya que dicha Universidad, debe darse cuenta que no fueron un regalo más bien solo un préstamo para su estudio. 

Por estos días (2010) el gobierno está empezando un juicio para la devoución de cada una de las piezas, el cual podría tardar alrededor de 2 o más años ... 

Espero que antes de nuestro Bicentenario podamos recibir lo que nos pertenece ya que es parte de nuestra identidad e historia.
